Inertsil C8-3
• Virtually perfect peak shape for most bases and acids
• Unique selectivity
• Exceptional physical and chemical durability provides long column life
• Vast database of chromatographic applications available to assist in method development
• Very low operating back pressure
Inertsil C8-3 provides pure reverse phase characteristics that are critical to resolving highly polar compounds like acidic and basic pharmaceuticals. The near perfect C8 ( octyl ) phase and end-capping coverage on this material results in symmetric, narrow peaks for even the most polar compounds while using simple eluents like aqueous MeCN or MeOH. Inertsil NH2
• Unique selectivity in both reverse and normal phase modes
• Does not lead to anomer resolution in sugar analysis
• Analyze sugars with exceptional column lifetime
• Exceptional reproducibility for an amino phase
• Low operating pressures even in highly aqueous conditions
Many commercially available NH2 ( amino ) phases are modified in order to increase stability to hydrolysis. However, this modification often leads to anomer resolution in sugar analysis.
Inertsil NH2 columns are bonded in a manner which does not lead to anomer resolution, because the primary amino groups are not modified.
This leads to more accurate qualitative and quantitative results.
The Inertsil 3-series represents a major advance in performance over the original Inertsil 2-Series. Inertsil 3-Series phases, including ODS-3, ODS-3V, ODS-P, ODS-EP, C8-3, Ph-3, CN-3, NH2, Diol, and SIL-100Å, are based on a purer, higher surface area silica which is specially manufactured to provide maximum bonded phase coverage.

 Inertsil Diol
• Unique selectivity in both reverse and normal phase modes
• Analyze amino acids and water soluble vitamins without ion pair eluent modifiers
• Analyze sugars with exceptional column lifetime
• Longer retention than silica in normal phase mode
• Exhibits normal phase characteristics with water / acetonitrile eluents
Inertsil Diol (dihydroxypropyl bonded phase) takes advantage of the dihydroxypropyl bonded phase's unique characteristics in both normal and reverse phases. In normal phase mode, the diol phase provides an alternative selectivity to silica, often with increased retentivity which helps improve separating power.
In reverse phase mode, compounds such as amino acids and water-soluble vitamins are nicely separated with unique selectivity with simple eluents. Sugars are also well separated and this diol phase shows long column life analyzing sugars - unlike many other phases used for sugar analysis.
Inertsil Diol is available in 5 micron particle size in column configurations ranging from capillary to 50mm ID preparative sizes.
The Inertsil 3-series represents a major advance in performance over the original Inertsil 2-Series. Inertsil 3-Series phases, including ODS-3, ODS-3V, ODS-P, ODS-EP, C8-3, Ph-3, CN-3, NH2, and SIL-100Å, are based on a purer, higher surface area silica which is specially manufactured to provide maximum bonded phase coverage. Inertsil SIL-100A
• Widely recognized as one of the finest silicas ever created for chromatography
GL Sciences was the first company to emphasize the critical importance of silica-gel purity and silanol "speciation" ( e.g. optimizing isolated, vicinal, geminal, and siloxane ratios ) in creating a silica with optimal chromatographic properties.
Inertsil SIL-100A° represents, to this day in 2007, the best-of-the-best silica material available in the chromatography industry. It is the basis for the advanced Inertsil 3-Series (see below), and is available in 3, 5, and 8 micron particle size in column configurations ranging from capillary to 50mm ID preparative sizes for normal phase chromatography.
The Inertsil 3-series represents a major advance in performance over the original Inertsil 2-Series. Inertsil 3-Series phases, including ODS-3, ODS-3V, ODS-P, ODS-EP, C8-3, Ph-3, CN-3, NH2, Diol, and SIL-100A°, are based on a purer, higher surface area silica which is specially manufactured to provide maximum bonded phase coverage.
